Complete Vehicle Insurance

Complete Vehicle insurance (KASCO) will help you to avoid incidental expenses. Insurance policy of this type ensures complete coverage of a transport vehicle damage in case of fire, theft, third parties’ malicious damage, natural calamities, traffic accidents (including damages occurred while parking) and other events causing partial or complete damage to the vehicle).

The insurance policy can cover only part of the damages listed above and associated with the vehicle’s purpose and the amount of insurance premium (cost of insurance) requested by a client. It is a voluntary insurance, so it is not required mandatorily, unlike the liability insurance. It is usually settled for one year.

In order to settle the Complete Vehicle Insurance, it is necessary to present a copy of Transport Vehicle Registration Certificate and an Official Examination Certificate. If a car was recently purchased from an official importer, it is necessary to present a copy of invoice. Most of the insurance companies, when settling insurance contracts, require availability of an operating alarm system that should be registered at a special center later on.

The insurance is valid at the territory of Republic of Bulgaria. If a liability insurance policy and a complete vehicle insurance policy are issued by one and the same insurance company, such a vehicle gets a free complete vehicle insurance coverage in the countries-members of the European Union.

The following factors influence the cost of Complete Vehicle Insurance Policy: vehicle brand, age and experience of driver, insurance history of car owner, and availability of additional services. You can pay for the policy by installments – up to 4 installments; at that, most of the companies do not hold up the policy prices.

In case an insured event occurs, the owner should comply with the requirements determined in the general conditions of the Complete Vehicle Insurance Policy, particularly:
• To inform public authorities immediately (police, fire and emergency services, etc.);

• To inform your insurance company in writing complying with the terms stated in the general provisions of your insurance policy;

• To present your damaged vehicle to the insurance company for examination.
